Howlers Beach Lounge
When we travel to Nosara, it's almost impossible for us to not stop at Howler's for lunch or dinner. We talk about their Tuna Carppaccio at least once a week, and the owner Carlos makes the best Spicy Passionfruit Margarita in town.
Rosi's Soda Tica
The best authentic Costa Rican breakfast in Nosara — plátanos included of course. If you're staying in Playa Pelada, don't worry, they have a location there too. You'll most likely be here every morning.
Sendero Kitchen
One of our favorite brunch and dinner spots in Playa Guiones. Super fresh ingredients, creative plates, and incredible cocktails. We love grabbing a coffee here in the morning.
Destiny Café & Restaurant
When we think of Nosara, healthy and organic ingredients are what comes to mind. If you're craving a smoothie bowl, fresh juice or need vegetarian options, Destiny Cafe is it!
Huacas Restaurant
One of the most incredible dining experiences in Nosara. Tucked into the jungle-clad mountains, everything from the food, service, and atmosphere is incredible from start to finish. Their chef, Paulo Valerios, dreams up some of the most creative dishes we've ever eaten using a mix of traditional and modern Costa Rican techniques and ingredients. * The hotel and restaurant have a minimum age requirement of 15 years old and do not allow children.
Coyol Restaurant
One of the most magical places in Nosara. Don't let the windy, hilly drive discourage you from making the trek — it's 100% worth it. Incredible food and cocktails with a view you'll be talking about for...a long time. Make sure to come here during sunset for the full experience.
La Brasa Argentinian Grill
If you're craving meat, this Argentinean restaurant is exactly where you need to go. Ribeye, chorizo, fresh veggies, and an ice cold Imperial...what more do you need?
Alt Fin & Co.
If you're looking for the best cocktails in Nosara, you've found them. Alt Fin Co is a new speakeasy nestled below Outpost — a well known coworking space (started by the same owners as Sendero). Yeurlong, their head mixoligist, creates the most out of this world cocktails (not to mention is one of the sweetest souls you will ever have the pleasure of talking to).
Jungle Bar at Norte Hotel
A unique tropical space right in the center of Playa Guiones They're a chill, yoga-inspired juice bar by day, and a vibrant, upbeat craft cocktail bar by night!
Elixir
A new cocktail lounge started by the owners of Howlers, Carlos and Amy. While most of Nosara is asleep by 10pm, Elixir is the place to go when you want to stay up late.
Juan Surfo's Surf Shop
The man, the myth, the legend — Juan Surfo! The best surf shop in town. We won't rent our boards from anyone else. If you've never surfed before, no problem! They offer surf lessons for first timers or those looking to improve their skills. The rolling waves of Nosara are the perfect beginner waves (if Katie can do it, so can you!).
