Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes! Please make sure you have a valid passport before you travel. Your passport must be valid for six months prior to your departure date, so if you need to renew, please schedule your appointment accordingly.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than December 15th, 2024.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, please dress in cocktail or formal attire. Please be mindful of the tropical, Costa Rican climate. Days can reach up to 90 degrees, while the nights will sit around 75 degrees, but still balmy. Light, comfortable fabrics are highly recommended. We highly recommend linen suits for men. Please reach out to Katie or Drew if you have questions! Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We're so excited to celebrate with all of our friends, family, and little ones!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no parking for the ceremony or reception. We will be arranging shuttles to transport everyone to the wedding location and will provide more information as the day nears.

Question

Is there anything to be aware of when traveling to Nosara?

Answer

Nosara is one of the most magical places in the world! But there are a few things we like to note to those who haven't been there before. 1. Please keep in mind you are in the middle of the jungle. There is wildlife in the area (monkeys, iguanas, bugs, etc). We recommend bringing mosquito and bug repellent with you (there are plenty of markets in town if you forget!). 2. Nosara is continuously being built up and modernized but is still fairly underdeveloped. Most roads in town are not paved, you may experience 1-2 power outages (most don't last more than a minute), etc. We suggest to lean into it and enjoy the "off-the-grid" way of life! 3. Most restaurants and stores in Nosara accept all major credit cards and USD, so no need to convert your dollars into Colón (Costa Rican currency). 4. If you do not have a car, ATVs and golf carts are available to rent in town. There are also plenty of Tuk Tuk's if you're traveling a longer distance. 5. Many restaurants and businesses use WhatsApp to communicate, rather than texting or calling. We highly recommend downloading the app before traveling to communicate with drivers, make reservations, etc.

Question

Is Nosara kid-friendly?

Answer

Absolutely! There's plenty of activities for children in the area — surf lessons, a visit to Sibu Sanctuary to visit local rehabilitated wildlife, kid-friendly yoga classes, rock climbing, and more! There are also great nanny and baby sitting services in town that we're happy to recommend if needed.
