Yes! We love nature, and hopefully you do too...or at least you love us ;). All of the events will take place outside, however our reception will take place under an open-sided pavilion. If it begins to rain at any point during the day, feel free to seek shelter there. (Or join Rachel and the rest of the children who will likely be dancing in the rain and splashing in the puddles.) There are two cabins located on the property, however they will not be in use during the wedding or reception.
You betcha! This is a family friendly weekend, so feel free to bring your kiddos to enjoy the festivities! (Or you may leave them at home if you want a parent's night out, just please kindly RSVP the number of family members you intend on bringing so we have enough tacos for all.)
When you arrive, you will park in the front grassy area (partly gravel) to the south of the farmhouse cabin. If the grass is dry, you may drive anywhere on it. If it has rained, we will park single filed along the gravel driveway leading to the the farmhouse cabin. If you go to the log cabin, you are parked in the wrong area. (Tip for those coming from Indy: consider carpooling with your friends.)
There will be two clean, new portable toilets ready for your use when nature calls. We will have hand sanitizer available as well.
Sensible shoes, your best dance moves, allergy medicine (especially if you are sensitive to goldenrod), and bug spray (we will have some for you if you forget). You may also consider bringing a jacket or an umbrella depending on the weather at the time. If you are staying for the campfire/after party, feel free to bring your favorite campfire drink and camp chair.
