Wedding Day Dress Code

The Wedding Website of Alissa Paige Clark and Jacob Cort Griffin
Our wedding color pallet. Also, some photos for inspiration and the overall semi-formal aesthetic we’re going for!! Just add some layers and you’re all set.

DARK, MOODY, ELEGANT

Ireland isn’t called the “Emerald Isle” for no reason. To capture the beautiful emerald green landscape surrounding us, we want our wedding party to stick to our recommended color pallet. When making your final decision, choose an outfit that you feel comfortable in. For the wedding ceremony, we will be driven to the edge of a field overlooking the Dunluce Castle. So find an outfit that you feel comfortable walking around in exploring the wonderful outdoors of Ireland!!

LADIES

Whether it's a dress, jumpsuit, or suit, find something you’re comfortable moving around in. Layers will be your best friend!! Our photographer recommended flesh-toned fleece or wool layers because they photograph well if visible. It will be windy as we will on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic ocean, so keep that in mind when choosing your outfit & accessories (i.e. hats, gloves, scarves). You’ll want a warm jacket to protect you from the wind and ~possible, fingers crossed there is none~ rain. For family photos, we can always temporarily remove layers! (Don't forget to add hand & toe warmers for added warmth!). For shoes, you’ll want good, solid tread as we will be walking around and hiking to various epic photo locations! Consider wearing hiking boots and changing into your desired shoe once we arrive by vehicle to the edge of the field where our wedding ceremony will take place.

GENTLEMEN

Opt for darker shades including navy blue, gray, or black suits with ties optional. Layer up underneath with fleece or wool for added warmth. Wear shoes with good, solid tread! Your favorite dress shoes may not be the best option for hiking through Irish terrain. Don’t forget to bundle up with your favorite coat and hand warmers. Ireland is known for its crazy weather, so be prepared for crazy wind and possible (likely) rain!
