Things To Do

To See & Do

Carnegie Museum of Natural History & Art

Our guests can enjoy free admission to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Carnegie Museum of Art, on the day of the wedding. Simply let the museum ticket desk know that you are a guest of the Smith-Pederson wedding for admission.

Ride the Incline to Mount Washington

For one of the best views of Pittsburgh, we highly recommend taking a ride on one of the historic inclines up Mount Washington. At the top, you’ll be treated to a stunning panorama of the city skyline and its famous three rivers, perfect for photos and a classic Pittsburgh experience!

Visit the Point

At the tip of Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle,” Point State Park is where the three rivers meet. It’s a beautiful spot for a walk, a picnic, or to see the iconic fountain, and it offers some of the most picturesque views of the city.

Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

A special place for us, we got engaged here! Phipps is filled with stunning seasonal flower shows, gardens, and beautiful architecture. Tickets must be purchased in advance, so be sure to plan ahead.

Explore the Strip District

Don’t let the name fool you... this lively neighborhood is all about food and local flair! The Strip District is packed with markets, restaurants, coffee shops, and Pittsburgh-inspired boutiques. It’s the perfect spot to stroll, snack, and shop your way through the city.

To Eat & Drink

Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange

For our coffee-loving guests, a stop at Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange in the Strip District is a must! You can pick your favorite beans and grind them yourself, creating a personalized bag of coffee.

Cafe Raymond

Another Strip District gem, Cafe Raymond offers a perfect brunch experience. Enjoy dishes like blueberry ricotta pancakes, savory croissant breakfast sandwiches, and smoked brisket hash.

Bakery Square

Just a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh, Bakery Square is a foodie’s paradise! Guests can order from several different restaurants all in one place, from casual bites to full meals, making it easy to mix and match your favorites.

For guests looking to enjoy a delicious meal, Alta Via in Market Square is a modern Italian restaurant. Alta Via serves wood-fired dishes, handmade pastas, fresh salads, and more.

Primanti Bros.

A Pittsburgh institution known for its iconic “Almost Famous” sandwich! For our guests, Primanti Bros. at 2 Market Square is conveniently located near downtown and offers a casual, lively atmosphere perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal.
