Please RSVP no later than September 15, 2024.
The ceremony and reception will both take place at Magnolia Venue & Urban Garden at River Market. The ceremony will be held outside, in the venue's backyard, and the cocktail hour and reception will follow inside the building. While we will be in the shade, please prepare to be outdoors for the short ceremony. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors.
We have paid for parking for up to 20 vehicles directly across the street from the venue. Look out for the sign with balloons! Please be careful parking in the larger parking lot directly next to the one we've reserved. If you do not pay the fee, stay longer than the time you paid for, or leave your car overnight, you could be fined $100! If you're not sure if you parked in the right place, ask for my sister, Kelsey, and she can help verify you're at the correct parking lot or if all spots have been taken. Please arrive at the venue NO later than 15 minutes before the ceremony. Budget in extra time for traffic; our venue is in the downtown district of Kansas City.
Yes. And please consider getting an updated vaccine. Our guests are traveling from both coasts; some of you are even traveling internationally. The CDC recommends that any air passenger, whether flying domestic or internationally, get a COVID test 1–3 days before travel to be sure that they are negative. We are additionally requesting that any guests traveling by car from outside the area as well as guests not yet fully vaccinated and unable to quarantine please obtain a negative COVID test prior to attending. If you are traveling by air, we ask that you please wear a mask for the duration of your flight.
Currently Missouri has no mandate to wear masks indoors or in crowded outdoor places. We encourage you to follow your comfort level given you have tested negative for COVID. We encourage everyone to bring masks to our event, and we will provide masks for any guests that would like to use one to increase their protection. If you are traveling by air, we ask that you please wear a mask for the duration of your flight.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Guests are encouraged to wear moody fall colors. We look forward to seeing you dressed in your best!
We are not inviting children outside our immediate family. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can consider our celebration a fun date night!
We want to showcase Kansas City's strength: barbecue! A buffet will be provided for dinner, including pulled pork, burnt ends, mashed potatoes, mac 'n' cheese, greens, and more. You can expect light bites during the cocktail hour, with a dessert bar to follow dinner. Please let us know your dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
You can list your dietary needs when you RSVP.
YES! The only request we make is to please put your devices away during the CEREMONY. We have hired an incredible photographer to capture our ceremony and would love for you to be fully present in the moment when we say "I do." However, please feel free to take photos throughout the evening otherwise. And please share your photos with us, or tag us if you post to socials!
