Its a classic story of boy sees girl, girl sees boy. We were both working at Town and Country Foods, me as a cahsier and Cory as a cook in the deli. We socialized within the walls of the store, but had never spent time together outside. One day I had been having a frustrating day and ran into Cory sitting and reading up on the mezzanie. We talked for close to a half hour and my day had immediately improved. The next day I told him how much he had improved my day and he gave me his number. We texted for about a month and then I told him I would be leaving T&C for a different job. The next day he asked me out to dinner. And well the rest is history! It hasn’t all been smooth, in March of 2018 Cory was diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer. The following 9 months were filled with two surgeies, chemo, and physical therapy. The highlight of that period was adopting our giant slobber moose, also known as a Saint Bernard, Scarett. It has been over 2 years since his final surgery and Cory has been cancer free ever since. We have enjoyed every minute since then, trying to live our lives to the fullest. Our days are full of lots of delicious food, hiking, camping, road trips, and snuggling our giant baby.
