FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The month of May in Tahoe is a bit unpredictable... we might have sunshine, or rain, or maybe even snow. Come prepared for anything! For the ceremony our dress code is "dressy casual" or "classy woodsy." Bring a big coat and maybe warm hat in case things get chilly. The resort is littered with both asphalt and dirt roads, definitely recommend comfortable/supportive shoes (avoid high heels, ladies).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Meeks Beach is amazing place for kids to run around and explore. The cabins are very conducive to a family stay.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

March 20, 2020

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Meeks Bay Resort! We have the entire resort booked/blocked off for our guests the weekend of May 16th. Alternatively, there are also a bunch of great Airbnb or Vrbo options in Meeks Bay and the neighboring villages. Check out the "Travel & Lodging" tab for more info.

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

Friday night grub will be available at the Tahoe Tap Haus. We will also be providing dinner during the reception Saturday evening. Snacks will be available in the big kitchen at Kehlet Mansion throughout the weekend. But we do recommend that you pack food to store in your own cabin for other meals/snacks throughout your stay. Each cabin/lodge is equipped with a fridge, stove-top and microwave.

Question

Are dogs allowed at the resort?

Answer

No, unfortunately no dogs are allowed on the Meeks Bay Resort property (both campground and cabins).
