Blessed with enchanting nature and enough fish to satisfy even the most hardcore anglers, Lake Hartwell is one of the best fishing lakes you’ll find in this part of America. In the summer, bass will transition to main lake points to feed on shad and blueback herring. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times to fish and can produce some amazing topwater action. Bass will explode on baits like spooks, flukes, and pencil poppers. You can fish right off our dock or one of the many ramps in the area. If you bring a boat, the possibilities are limitless. Note that anyone over 16 technically does need a fishing license in South Carolina.
