What and where is the venue?

Answer

The ceremony and afterparty will take place at 1526 N Woodbury Rd, Seneca SC. It is on property we purchased in 2022 and have been slowly developing as a getaway. We call it "The New Place". Justin has been working diligently to make The New Place the perfect spot to spend time enjoying boating and being outdoors. We can't wait to share it with those we love. We hope it will be somewhere to build happy memories for years to come. We are so excited for you all to join us for the inaugural celebration! The reception will be held at our neighbor’s house, across the cove at 1562 N Woodbury Rd. You may walk to the reception, take the floating dock bridge, or get a ride on a golf cart. The walk will take about 15 minutes if you’re walking slowly. It’s not long, but there is considerable elevation gain.

What should I know about the property?

Answer

The venue is located on very beautiful and very steep terrain. There are natural springs at the bottom of the ravine that are well worth checking out. If you have hiking boots or walking sticks, bring them! We want you to be able to enjoy nature as much as possible. Think function over fashion and remember - red clay stains can be challenging to remove.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please wear something that makes you feel fabulous! The wedding is outside in the woods so keep that in mind when considering your clothing and footwear. Casual comfy or fancy dress - whatever you feel good in is what we want you to wear. We strongly discourage heels.

Where should I park?

Answer

Park between 1526 & 1562 N Woodbury Rd. We encourage guests to carpool if possible!

Is Uber or Lyft available in the area?

Answer

Ride sharing apps can be unpredictable in the area. We recommend carpooling when possible and that you consider nominating a Designated Driver in your party. With school being in session, there should be some Ubers available but abundance is not guaranteed.

Where should I go for a good selection of drinks?

Answer

“Wall of Beer” in Clemson has a wide assortment of drinks. They are located at 215 Pendleton Rd #80, Clemson, SC 29631, 8 miles from the venue. Food Lion is 3.5 miles away from the venue and on the way in from Lakeside Lodge.

Is yoga required on Saturday morning?

Answer

Of course not! It’s offered as a beautiful way to stretch out that hangover while appreciating the natural scenery. The class will be mostly seated and not at all physically rigorous. If you are at all interested, I do encourage you to go because it will be a truly wonderful experience led by an amazing teacher. Bring your towel to use as a mat or bring a mat if you have one!

What should I bring on Saturday?

Answer

We will be hanging out in our cove swimming, floating, fishing, and enjoying the water. Bring a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, snacks, change of clothes, and your beverage(s) of choice for the best experience! If you like to fish, bring a pole and bait. Lunch will be catered by Chick-fil-A around 12PM followed by a summery dessert made by the Mother of the Bride.
