The Wedding Website of Dan Cross and Claire Hindley

Travel Note

Getting to the area

The area is very easily accessible by car, train or plane! The nearest airports are Liverpool (40 mins) and Manchester (55 mins). By train, Ormskirk (for Church) is on the direct line from both Liverpool and Preston, whereas if coming from Manchester, you will get off at Burscough and taxi from there. Finally, by car, we are pretty handy for the M6, and a couple of people have already mentioned continuing north for an hour and visiting the Lake District after the celebrations.

Travel Note

Parking

For parking at the ceremony, there are 3 options. After passing the Church on the right, there is a large car park. Out the back of the car park and continuing around to the right, there are additional spaces (including disabled) in bays alongside the field. Finally, there’s plenty of parking along Prescot Road, opposite the school. x For the reception, Google Maps will want to take you all the way to the venue via Church St. However, this is a little cobbled lane and the only parking beyond it is for disabled guests. For public parking in the village, you can park along most of the streets for free. Additionally, there is a car park, and for both, overnight parking shouldn’t be an issue.
