As casual as you like
This is an optional extra for those arriving in the area on the Friday. We will be having some relaxed, late afternoon drinks at the pub near the Hindley home in Rufford and everyone is welcome. The pub also does great food if anyone is looking for a dinner spot later on. As much as we would love to say hi to you all before the big day, please don't feel obliged to get to the pub if you are travelling far or rushing after work on the Friday! It's also fine if numbers change on the day, but if you can RSVP either way to give us an idea, it will help the pub out in reserving enough space.

Wedding Ceremony

Suits and summer dresses (morning suits not necessary)
Our wedding ceremony will be held at St Anne's RC Church, Ormskirk. This is the Hindley family's Church and we can't wait to welcome you all. There is plenty of space inside and we would everyone to mix it up, no set sides for 'bride' & 'groom'. Please allow enough time for parking (see the 'travel' page for more info), and be seated by 12:45. The bridal party will be arriving at 1:00!
Reception

From Church, we will all move on to the reception, which is a 20 minute drive from the ceremony. The Old School is in the very picturesque village of Croston (fitting for the new Mr & Mrs Cross!), and will host us for an afternoon and evening of great food, music and lots of dancing. The venue is found at the bottom of a cobbled lane, so we would suggest avoiding stilettos. See the 'travel' page for advice on where to leave your car, as there are restrictions in place.
The after party

For those keen on continuing the night's celebrations, the local pub will be welcoming all wedding guests for the final stop! It is a a 2 minute walk, or stagger, across the cobbles and there's no need to RSVP in advance- see how you feel at the time.
