Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress codes are listed for each event under the Venue & Events tab. If a dress code is not listed, one does not apply. The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Examples of this are tea-length or midi dresses for the ladies and a suit and tie for the gentlemen. Please note, for those who wish to wear heels, keep in mind this is an outdoor wedding with the ceremony taking place on grass.

Will the wedding be indoors or out?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The ceremony on the lawn beside the barn, followed by cocktail hour in the carriage house and underneath the tent. The reception will take place inside the barn. We'll be paying close attention to the weather as we get closer to the day. If the weather does not cooperate, all events will take place inside the barn. Please feel free to wear weather appropriate attire. But please keep in mind, this is a formal event.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We're asking that guests arrive between 4:00-4:15pm. The ceremony is scheduled to start promptly at 4:30pm. Please don’t be late!

Are Uber or Lyft accessible in the area?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are not reliable for transportation to and from the wedding venue. If you would like transportation to Shady Elms Farm, please see the shuttle information on the Travel & Accommodations tab. However, Uber and Lyft is typically available for transportation in the Meadowlands area, either to join us for Welcome Drinks the night before, or the After Party the night of.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We request that our guests not bring a plus-one unless they are specifically named/offered on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kids, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Will there be a cookie table?

Answer

Yes, there will be a cookie table! Where do you think we are, Philly?! If yinz would like to contribute cookies to the table, please let Claire or Brandon know at least six weeks in advance of the wedding so that we can plan accordingly.
