Getting to Plain

For guests coming from outside of Washington State, it is easiest to fly into Seattle, WA, and then drive to Leavenworth. Our venue is located in Plain, which is about 20 minutes to the northeast of Leavenworth. All routes to Leavenworth wind through the Cascade Mountain Range, and roads can be busy on weekends. If you are driving to Leavenworth on Friday afternoon, and if you are driving back to Seattle on Sunday, you will need to allow at least a 30 minute buffer in case you hit traffic. Below, some of the best routes to take are detailed. Regardless of which route you choose, we recommend using a GPS app such as Apple Maps to assist you. From SeaTac Airport: If you would like to drive directly from the airport to Leavenworth, it is fastest to take 1-90 East through the Snoqualmie pass to Cle Elum, then take State Road 970 from Cle Elum north to Leavenworth From Seattle: It is most likely fastest to drive north to Monroe, WA, and then take US-2 to the Leavenworth Area, unless you are traveling at a high-traffic time of day. Part of this drive traverses the famous Scenic Mountain Loop- a uniquely beautiful drive. Because this route is popular among tourists, be careful to check you estimated travel time and plan ahead accordingly. If you are able to budget extra time, the scenery on this drive is well worth the extra time it may take compared to 1-90. From Leavenworth: For guests who wish to stay in Leavenworth, or who plan to spend a few days in Leavenworth prior to the wedding, it will be quickest to take Chumstick road from Leavenworth to the Mountain Springs Lodge. Because many of us live in Seattle, we may be able to coordinate carpools with out-of-town guests who need a ride. If you would like to try to carpool to Plain, please text Claire at 507-254-1544. Hotels and Vacation Rentals Nearby

If you would prefer not to stay at the lodge, there are a large number of Air BnBs and VRBOs located within minutes of our venue in Plain, WA. If you'd prefer a hotel, there are a number of hotels to choose from in Leavenworth, WA, about 25 minutes away from our venue. While shuttles from Plain to Leavenworth are not available, there are plenty of Ubers in the area for guests who would prefer not to drive.
