Make a longer trip of it?

There's clearly so much to experience in Ireland, but we thought we'd list a few ideas and some of our favourites on this page for inspiration if you wanted to extend your visit! The list starts with Dublin then moves further afield.
Kehoes Pub

Get a drink in this 200-year old Dublin institution, not far from Grafton Street.

Guinness Storehouse

Guinness Storehouse

Ushers, County Dublin, Ireland
, +353 1 408 4800

Find out how the black stuff is made, try some Guinness-flavoured food items, learn how to pour the perfect pint, hang out on the amazing branding and advertising floor, then get a pint on the roof overlooking the city. Guinness is good for you.

Kilmainham Gaol

Kilmainham Gaol

Inchicore Road, Kilmainham, County Dublin D08 RK28, Ireland
, +353 1 453 5984

Book a guided tour and learn about the historical importance of and the notable prisoners that were housed in this former prison. If you're interested, book well in advance.

Jameson Distillery Bow St.

Jameson Distillery Bow St.

Bow Street, Smithfield Village, County Dublin, Ireland
, +353 1 807 2355

If you're a whiskey fan it's probably worth a stop and guided tour of the Jameson distillery, which has been running since 1780. As well as the standard tour you can get involved in some premium whiskey tasting, take part in a whiskey blending class or cocktail making class, or even a cask draw experience where you can drink whiskey straight from the keg. Oaky!

Howth

Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland

Visit Howth peninsula – a half an hour drive from Dublin – and explore the quaint village and fishing port, then get some top notch fish from one of the great restaurants.

Galway

Galway

If you want to go further afield this is an amazing place to visit, full of bohemian characters, nice vibes, great bars and cultural experiences. Also some amazing food. If you're planning to see some of the country you could do much worse than to head here – and then take a drive west along the coast and around Connemara national park.
