Travel Note
Hello friends and family! This is just a gentle reminder, that our ceremony begins as Friday NYC rush hour traffic begins. It is definitely not ideal, but that being said - make sure to give yourself extra travel time to account for traffic and parking if you are driving. If coming from LI or CT by car, I would add an extra 45 minutes to whatever the GPS says. Love you all. ¡Hola amigos y familiares! Les recordamos que nuestra ceremonia comienza justo cuando empieza la hora de tráfico en Nueva York. Definitivamente no es ideal, pero sabiendo esto, asegúrense de calcular tiempo extra para el tráfico y el estacionamiento si conducen. DRIVING - It may take between 1.5-2hrs by car depending on where you are coming from. Our ceremony begins right as Friday rush hour begins. Make sure to leave yourself enough time to account for traffic. PARKING - There are several near by parking garages. My suggestion is to use the website "Spot Hero", or download the app "Spot Hero" on your phone and book your parking space ahead of time. This will save you money! If you book and pay for your parking in advance on the app, parking tends to be $10-$25 as opposed to $50-$60 when you leave it till your arrival and hope for a an open spot in a garage. CLOSEST GARAGES - 110 Broadway (3 min walk), 74 S 6th St (4 min walk), 321 Wythe Ave (5 min walk), 26 South 6th Street (7 min walk), and 416 Kent Ave (9 min walk). EN AUTO: Puede tardar entre 1.5 y 2 horas en auto, dependiendo de su lugar de origen. Nuestra ceremonia comienza justo al comienzo de la hora de tráfico del viernes. Train
LIRR - If traveling from Long Island to the ceremony (Moxy Hotel), you can travel on the Long Island Rail Road using the Port Jefferson Line. You can leave from Huntington Station and get off at Jamaica Station (45 min ride). From there you can walk to the "Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport" subway station (4 minute walk) and take the J train to Marcy Ave station. From there it is a 9 minute walk to the Moxy Hotel. METRO-NORTH - For those traveling from CT, you can take Metro-North from Stamford station to Grand Central Station (55 mins), and then take the subway at Grand Central on line M to Marcy Avenue Station (30 mins). From there, it is a 9-minute walk to the Moxy Hotel. SUBWAY - The closest train to the Moxy Hotel is the Marcy Avenue Station, which serves train lines M, J, and Z. LIRR - Si viaja desde Long Island a la ceremonia (Hotel Moxy), puede viajar en el Ferrocarril de Long Island (LIRR) usando la línea Port Jefferson. Puede salir de la estación Huntington y bajarse en la estación Jamaica (45 minutos). Flight
If flying into NYC, the venue is accessible via either John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) or LaGuardia Airport (LGA). In either case, if you are not familiar with the NYC bus and subway system, I would recommend taking an Uber/Lyft/Taxi to the hotel. Both public transit options require multiple transfers. If you are familiar, you don't need me to explain it here ;) Si vuelas a Nueva York, puedes llegar al hotel a través del Aeropuerto John F. Kennedy (JFK) o del Aeropuerto LaGuardia (LGA). En cualquier caso, si no conoces el sistema de autobuses y metro de Nueva York, te recomiendo tomar un Uber, un Lyft o un taxi hasta el hotel.
