Capo Santa Fortunata is located just outside of the Sorrento city center, in the direction of Massa Lubrense. It's about a 10 minute drive (by rental car, taxi or Uber) from the center. There are also public transportation options to get to the villa (bus 5070 to the Caposorrento stop). You'll also be able to order taxis and Ubers for the way home (or ask your favorite designated driver!)
Yes, there will be free parking available at the venue.
The ceremony and reception will both be held outdoors in the villa's garden. In case of rain, both events will take place outside under a tent.
For those who wish, childcare for kids ages 5-10 will be provided in the evening (starting at dinnertime).
The road from Naples to Sorrento is quite easy and mostly main highway roads. The Sorrento Peninsula itself is fairly mountainous but roads are easy to drive and in excellent condition.
Citizens of the US and EU countries do not need a tourist visa for Italy. Our friends hailing from countries outside of these zones should check with their government's travel authority for any tourist visa requirements.
Sorrento itself is a relatively small town, perfect for a weekend or couple days' stay. It can also serve as a "home base" if you wish to visit the surrounding areas: Positano and Amalfi are relatively close-by and accessible by car (approx. 40 min and 1 hour respectively); daily trains leave from Sorrento to Naples stopping through Pompeii and other tourist-sites along the way; and there are several daily ferry crossings from Sorrento to Capri (20 min by boat).
If you prefer to minimize driving and day trips, we recommend only staying a few days in Sorrento and lodging directly in the other towns you want to visit. While Capri can be visited in a day, the other islands of Ischia or Procida are worth a couple days' stay. And of course, we recommend spending a night or two in Naples - it's a lively, culture-filled city with exceptional places to eat.
