The reception venue is in fact a very beautiful park and definitely worth exploring! Guests are highly recommended to come to the venue early and walk around to see the gems that spring have to offer - colorful flowers and butterflies abound the park. Offer an egg for the perfect weather!
A 15-minute drive from the venue takes you to Berlare where you can find a beautiful freshwater lake called Donkmeer. If the weather is fine, the water reflects the big trees and houses that line the banks. Enjoy a relaxing nature walk and then reward yourself with a nice Belgian beer - you'll surely find a bar nearby!

It will be a crime to visit Gent without going inside the magnificent Kasteel van Gravensteen. The well-preserved 'Castle of the Counts' offers an exciting audio tour that takes you back in time to learn about the castle's turbulent history.
Graslei is the quay in the historic city center of Gent and Korenlei lies opposite. This is the locals' favorite spot to hang out. Restaurants and bars line up alongside, and on a beautiful day, enjoy people-watching as a chorus of tourist boats, kayakers and rowers occupy the Leie.
Tickle your artsy bone with a visit to Saint Bavo Cathedral to see 'The Adoration of the Mysic Lamb'. It is a world-renowned painting by the Van Eyck brothers completed in 1432. Comprised of 18 panels depicting scenes from the Bible, two of them were stolen in 1934 and one was eventually returned but the other remains missing. The artwork have gone through a series of restoration and is now finally reopened for public viewing.

Everything about Bruges (or Brugge as the locals call it) is beautiful and romantic. The UNESCO Heritage Site is a medieval city bordered by canals and cobbled streets and gingerbread houses. Be warned though: the city is so beautiful, tourists abound. We can't blame them. Brugge is about an hour drive from the wedding venue, or a 30-minute direct train ride from Gent-Sint Pieters, so we highly suggest you plan your trip well.
