Lexi and Katie met in Stamford, CT at a party in 2015. It was best friendship at first sight! Katie is pretty sure she asked Lexi to be her Maid of Honor before she even met Matt, so Lexi had the job before it was available! Matt's baby brother, (younger by 8 years!) Once a silly little kid brother, now one of Matt's best friends. He is a rising sophomore at Miami University and was a shoe in for one of the best men slots. If you see him at the wedding, conversation topics could include: How generally nervous he is, Cleveland, Call of Duty and if he could beat Matt in 1 on 1 basketball.

On the same night Katie met Lexi, she met Sarah! Another best friendship at first sight. Sarah also filling the role of Maid of Honor with Lexi, seemed like the only option after a few years of their close friendship. Conversation topics could include: Brunch, rosé, Maine, & the inability to properly digest cheese.

Best Man
Matt and Daniel first met through text, since they had both been recruited for Johns Hopkins basketball and were connected by the coach. They instantly hit it off and were roommates for 4 years. Having been best friends for over 10 years, Daniel was another best man shoe in. Conversation topics could include: Kentucky basketball, Broadway musicals, a love of kid snacks (gushers / goldfish) and, ETHIK clothing brand.

Matt's older sister Meghan, has quickly become Katie's new sister too! Meghan lives in Mississippi with her husband (Groomsman Jordan Robinson) and two girls (B & G, 2 of our flower girls, see below). Katie and Meghan were FAST friends, and Meghan is Katie's rock for all things weddings - as Meghan is a day of wedding coordinator! If you talk to her at the wedding, conversation topics include: disliking Halloween, developing a southern accent later in life, and how to not go crazy having two kids under the age of 6 at home with you all day during COVID-19.

Matt's brother in law, married to bridesmaid, Meghan R, and Father to flower girls B & G, is the big brother Matt never had. They're loves of sports, fishing and a good bloody mary made them fast family and even quicker friends. While inseparable in college, Morghan lives in Chicago now, but she really should move to Denver, right? Katie's younger brother Johnny has become a great friend of Matt's. A love of Cleveland sports, pickleball and making fun of Katie had them getting along great right from the start. Conversation topics could include: Green Bay Packers, how much he looks like Aaron Rodgers, Cleveland Indians, Purdue Athletics, sports gambling and really anything having to do with sports in way, shape or form.

Sophia and Katie met while Katie was working at a startup called theSkimm. They both worked incredibly long hours, and quickly transitioned from work acquaintances to great friends to keep each other sane. Sophia actually also knew Matt in college at Johns Hopkins! Jess, or Meerkat is another of Katie's best friends from Alpha Chi Omega at Purdue. Jess is also getting married soon, so Katie & Jess have been able to share the planning experiences through these "unprecedented times". Conversation topics could include: Nursing, west highland terriers, why her nickname is Meerkat and a hatred of birds.

Pronounced like Her-mahn, is one of Matt's best friends from college. Even though German lives down in Miami, the 2 have remained super close friends and haven't skipped a beat through the years. Also meeting at theSkimm, Maggie and Katie desks were right across from each other from day one. Maggie (Magoo) is a great friend and has fully inspired Katie's love of Broadway. Flower girl E's little brother J is the solo ring bearer! J just turned 3, and is very excited to have all the ring bearer spotlight. Conversation topics could include: garbage trucks, monster trucks, trucks in general and the evolution of the market economy in the southern colonies.

Officiant
Austin has been one of Katie's best friends since early in their time at Purdue. They have gone through so much together, from planning greek life events to Austin helping Katie get her interview with Nielsen, and lived together on the Lower East Side when Katie and Matt started dating. Austin was such a huge part of Katie & Matt's life in New York (he literally came on their 2nd date), that they both thought the only role that was important enough for him was officiant. Austin is hilarious, kind, quick as a dang whip and will be the best officiant we could have asked for. Conversation topics could include: His great hair, Shiba Inus, the News, any type of skiing, and a strong dislike of bad listeners.
