FAQs

Question

What if I have a food allergy or intolerance?

Answer

Please send us a message! We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Question

What attire should I wear to ceremony and reception?

Answer

Cocktail: suits or blazers for men, chic dresses for women. Keep it festive and polished, no tuxedos or gowns are needed.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

There is a gap between the end of the ceremony at St. Josephs and the beginning of the cocktail hour at the Torpedo Factory. You can use this time to explore any of the downtown Old Town bars and shops - many of which are on the same block as the venue! Check out our "Things To Do" page for suggestions to fill your time, if you choose to explore before the 530pm cocktail.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

We will have meatballs and bruschetta for the cocktail hour. Dinner will be buffet style with Caesar salad, various types of pasta, chicken piccata, and roasted veggies. There will be options available for those with food intolerances.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is a small parking lot at the church and some free street parking. There is paid street parking and several parking garages near the Torpedo Factory if you choose to drive. If you are planning on attending the brunch, street parking on Sundays is free and there are several parking garages nearby.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Due to our budget and other logistical constraints, we ask that you please leave your kiddos at home, unless you are direct family.

Question

What's the best way to get around Old Town?

Answer

The King Street Trolley runs every 15 minutes between Alexandria City Hall and the King St – Old Town Metro station from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, including holidays. Uber and Lyft are also readily available options. If you choose to walk, the King Street corridor has beautifully decorative street lighting that is very scenic.

Question

Is there transportation to the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We will no longer be offering shuttle service to the ceremony or reception. We encourage guests to arrange their own transportation, and we appreciate your understanding.
