This is an award-winning Belgian Brewery, less than a mile from our venue, LaLa Park. We stopped here just before touring the venue, and found it to have a friendly atmosphere and good brews.

Antiques
The hill country is a treasure trove of antiques! You'll find lots of charming shops in the Wimberley Square and the Quarter. Wimberley also hosts the oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country and the 2nd-largest in the state. It features over 475 booths of everything you can't live without on the first Saturday of every month, including our wedding weekend!

Texas Hill Country is home to several wineries. Located about 30 minutes from San Marcos, enjoy a relaxing glass of wine and beautiful scenery of the Hill Country backroads.

Wimberley Glassworks
Wimberley is known for its unique art, and that includes glass art as well! Visitors can browse Wimberley Glasswork's gorgeous collection of vases, sculptures, platters, glassware, gifts, and lighting, as well as indoor and outdoor art installations. But the biggest draw is their live glass blowing demonstrations, during which you’ll get to watch Wimberley’s skilled artisans’ craft masterpieces right before your eyes, using refined age-old techniques. Demos take place Thursdays through Sundays from 10:30 AM-3 PM. You can even order a piece from their collection and watch it being made, although this experience needs to be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.

Wonder World Cave & Adventure Park
San Marcos is known for all its water formations above ground, but there is a vast network of caves underground. The Balcones Fault Line Cave is the nation’s only true example of an earthquake-formed cave. Go deep underground during the hour-and-a-half tour to see up close the devastation of the earthquake along with fossilized prehistoric creatures. The cave resides in Wonder World Park, a one-of-a-kind theme park that features a number of unique attractions like the Topsy-Turvy World of the Anti-Gravity House where water flows uphill.
