Guests should plan to arrive in Filia by 5:15 PM if arranging transportation independently. Shuttle service will also arrive at this time. From there, guests will join a traditional procession through the streets of Filia with live music before arriving at the church for the ceremony.
We recommend renting a car or arranging transportation in advance to explore the island throughout the weekend. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided for the main wedding events. Please visit the "Wedding Transportation" tab for transportation details and timing (coming soon!).
An International Driving Permit (IDP) is usually not required in Greece, but some rental car agencies may still ask for one. We recommend confirming directly with your rental provider before your trip to avoid any issues upon arrival.
We kindly request "Mediterranean" formal attire. Additional details can be found in the “Attire” section.

Most wedding events will take place outdoors to enjoy the beautiful scenery and warm summer weather in Lesvos. The Wedding Ceremony itself will be held inside a Greek Orthodox church. July in Lesvos is typically hot and sunny with very little chance of rain, so we recommend dressing for warm weather and wearing comfortable footwear, especially for cobblestone streets and outdoor venues.
In Greece, cobblestone streets are common, so we recommend choosing footwear that is both stylish and practical. For women, flats, wedges, or block heels are encouraged, as stilettos can be difficult to navigate on the island’s streets and walkways. Comfortable and elegant is the way to go for the weekend’s festivities.
Yes, you’ll need a travel adapter to plug your devices into Greek outlets. Greece uses Type C and Type F sockets, which are common across much of Europe. These sockets have two round pins, and Type F also includes grounding clips on the sides. If you’re planning to travel beyond Greece, we recommend getting a universal travel adapter — one that works in many countries around the world. It’s super convenient and means you won’t have to buy a new adapter for every destination!
Absolutely! Greek weddings are known for incredible music, dancing, and celebration, and we hope everyone joins us on the dance floor throughout the weekend. No experience is needed, and we’ll gladly teach a few traditional dances along the way. Just bring your energy, comfortable shoes, and a sense of fun.
