Dating back to the early 1840s, Fort Ontario is the site of three French and Indian War and two War of 1812 battles. From 1944-1946 the fort was home to almost 1000 Jewish refugees during WWII.
A beautiful park located on Lake Ontario's shoreline. Great for picnics, walking, and taking in the views.
I'm going to group these two together as they are located next to each other on Lake Ontario. Rudy's is an old-fashioned fish joint and an Oswego staple. After a meal, head down to Bev's for the best ice cream in town.
Enjoy the views from any lakeside location or walk the break-wall to get a closer look.
