Piper & Leaf Tea Co. - Shop, Farm, and Production
This artisan tea shop rests on a beautiful wooded lot with quiet scenery and crunchy vibes. Their tea blends and other drinks use seasonal leaves, flavors, and spices from local Alabama farms. Piper & Leaf is Gabby's favorite drink spot in the whole world (sorry Fusion).
U.S. Space & Rocket Center
Explore the staple attraction of Rocket City! General admission is free for children under 4, $20 for children ages 5-12, and $30 for ages 12 and up. Tickets include access to the Saturn V Hall, Moon Crater, Military Park, Rocket Park, Shuttle Park, Spark!Lab, ISS: Science on Orbit, and available featured exhibit(s), simulators, and tours.
Monte Sano State Park
Monte Sano State Park is located near Huntsville in northeast Alabama. In Spanish, Monte Sano means “Mountain of Health.” In the late 1800s, visitors from across the United States came for “the season” to experience and enjoy Monte Sano’s fresh air, spectacular views, and mineral springs. The park includes a large playground, plenty of hiking trails, and a picnic area with a great mountain view! Please note there is a $5.00 entry fee for ages 12+ and a $2.00 fee for children ages 4-11.
Green Mountain Nature Trail
This park, which is atop Green Mountain in southeast Huntsville, encompasses Sky Lake. Enjoy views of the lake on the 1.5 mile walking trail that includes a pavilion, chapel, outdoor classroom, picnic area, and covered bridge.
Big Spring Park
Located near Downtown Huntsville, Big Spring Park surrounds the limestone spring (the largest in North Alabama) where Huntsville was first settled in 1805.
Twickenham Historic District
Between California Street SE and Franklin Street SE, you'll find picturesque Antebellum homes dating mostly between 1880 and 1929. At the beginning of January, these homes will likely still have Christmas lights up.
Downtown Huntsville
Just minutes away from Twickenham Historic District and Big Spring Park, Downtown Huntsville is a great place to find dinner and spend an evening in the city.
Harrison Brothers Hardware
Harrison Brothers Hardware, a general store founded in 1897, sells locally made arts, fine crafts, kitchen items, and classic toys. This is a great place to find Huntsville-themed gifts while strolling Downtown!

Unclaimed Baggage
Shop at the nation's only retailer of unclaimed luggage! If travel luggage remains unclaimed for 3-4 months, transportation companies sell it to this shop in Scottsboro. It's basically a thrift store, but with the added thrill of wondering why travelers left their luggage to such a fate.
