It's finally happening!

Gabby and Christian first met at an Advent service on December 2, 2018. The youth pastor had asked students at the church to do readings, so the two ended up sitting next to each other in the reading order. Gabby did not want to talk to this weird boy whom she had never seen at youth group before, but to her dismay, he was chatty. Turns out Gabby had not seen him at youth group because he was in college. . .and to Christian's horror, turns out Gabby was only 15. Not a good look for someone from Alabama. Dazed, disheartened, and determined to find legal love, Christian set off on his own mini-adventure. Meanwhile, to Gabby, Christian became "that one dude" whose laugh she could sometimes hear across the church building. In 2020, Gabby graduated from high school and started going to the church's college Bible study. Two years of side adventures and total indifference seemed to have reduced the two to nothing more than pleasant friends on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings; however, as Spring of 2021 rolled around, feelings began to change. Finally, after weeks of communicating via memes (which, as it happens, are great conversation starters), Christian asked Gabby out on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. The two became official on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Now, the couple's side adventures have become one shared adventure. In Mississippi, Christian and Gabby's favorite memories include Red Bluff, the Hattiesburg pumpkin patch, Fusion jazz festivals, the petrified forest in Flora, and the Vicksburg Military Park. The two have also had the joy of experiencing the Chattanooga Aquarium, Panama City Beach, Hilliard family farms in Georgia, road trips to Colorado and Ohio, Rocket City Trash Pandas baseball games, European Christmas markets, sledding in Switzerland, Christmas Day in Austria, McDonald's in Liechtenstein, Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, and Bella Italia. On December 14, 2023, Christian asked Gabby to be his wife. Now, after three years of dating, two years of distance, and one adventure after another, Gabby and Christian are thrilled to share the next step of their adventure with you.
