Route Details
1. Car (Direct)
Door-to-door option. Approx. 1.5 hrs depending on traffic. Estimated cost $240 USD.
2. Train → Train → Ferry (Scenic & Cost-Effective)
From MXP train station to Milan’s central hub, transfer to a train to Varenna, then take a ferry to Villa Issima.
3. Train → Train → Bus (No Water Travel)
MXP → Saronno → Como Camerlata by train.
From Camerlata: Bus S11 Chiasso to Como S. Giovanni, then Bus C110 (Blue) to Menaggio, CO.
4. Train → Train → Bus (Optional Ferry)
MXP → Milano Porta Garibaldi, then a train to Lake Como’s main station.
From there: Bus C110 (Blue) to Menaggio. A ferry from Como to Menaggio is also available.
5. Train-Focused Route + Ferry
MXP → Milano Porta Garibaldi → Saronno → 101A Trenord to Como Lago.
Walk 6 minutes to the dock and take a ferry to Menaggio.
