Travel

We are honored that you would consider joining us to celebrate our wedding. Washington, D.C., is a relatively easy place to visit; here are some bearings as you plan your weekend there with us.

Train

Train Note

The best way to visit Washington, D.C., is by rail!

Flight

Air Travel Advice

If you are flying to join us, you should know that of the three airports serving our metro area, DCA is by far the most convenient to arrive in. You could also profitably fly into Dulles International Airport, which is also served by WMATA trains, albeit with a longer ride to the city.

Travel Note

Transit Advice

We have done our best to arrange this weekend to be as compact as possible. None of the locations you will need to visit are more than 20 minutes from one another by car. They are, however, not immediately convenient to public transit. The best way for you to negotiate this will be to either have a car available to you or to use a rideshare service; either will serve you well.

House Or Rental

Lodging Advice

There aren’t very many conveniently located hotels in Northeast near our reception venue. We are arranging for a hotel block, but the best thing for you to do will likely be to arrange for a short-term vacation rental. If you need, please just ask, and we’d be happy to let you know other guests you may know who will be attending from out of town with whom you might comfortably share lodging arrangements.
