FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by November 15th, 2025.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We’re registered at Amazon. You can find the link at the top of this page.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at three in the afternoon. If you’re driving, there are some parking garages convenient to the church as well as ample street parking.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal evening wear, black tie, is encouraged, but not required, for the reception on January 3rd.

Question

Can I bring a guest or children to the wedding?

Answer

We truly appreciate your understanding as we work within our space limitations. If you have any questions about your invitation, please reach out to Chris or Tryn. We really are trying our best here. Let’s try to work out how we can best serve you and your family and ease your way.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations are coming soon. See the “travel” tab, accessible at the top of this very page, for more information. As we note on that page, the expedient thing will almost surely be to book a convenient vacation rental, rather than a hotel.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

1—Parking at 23 Michigan Avenue is best accomplished on the far side of Michigan Avenue; on the adjacent side street, Girard; or, if you are arriving on Friday evening after 6:30, right in front of the house. 2—There are parking garages right near the church; see above. 3—The reception venue has a big free parking lot right on the property. 4—Tryn’s home, if you’re joining us after church on Sunday, is in a residential neighborhood in which it is easy enough to find a spot.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Out-of-town guests are cordially invited to join us the evening before our wedding for drinks and company at Chris’ home, as well as for a farewell brunch the day after at Tryn’s house.

Question

Has Chris obtained express permission from the local ordinary according to the provision of Canons 1124–1127 of the Code of Canon Law?

Answer

Yup.

For all the days along the way
