Things To Do

Below are some suggestions for dining and outdoor/socially distant activities.
Hampton Beach

Hampton Beach

Hampton, NH 03842

This is a great beach to take a walk and people watch. There's a boardwalk with souvenir shops, take-out restaurants, ice cream parlors, and arcades.

Castle Hill on the Crane Estate

Castle Hill on the Crane Estate

290 Argilla Road, Ipswich, MA 01938
, (978) 356-4351

Visit where Len proposed :). Historic house and gardens - tours available. There is also a beautiful beach nearby. (And if you are a fan of Flowers in the Attic, this was "Grandmother's house" in the 1987 film.)

Winnie The Pooh Trail

Winnie The Pooh Trail

245-263 Franklin Pierce Highway, Barrington, NH 03825
, (603) 664-5224

This family-friendly hiking trail is about a 45 minute drive from Manchester, NH. The trail is about 1.4 miles through a forest with stops where you can "visit" everyone's favorite Winnie-the-Pooh characters. Admission is free.

The Red Arrow Diner

The Red Arrow Diner

61 Lowell Street, Manchester, NH 03101
, (603) 626-1118

Great 24-hour diner that's been featured on several food shows, including Diner, Drive Ins, and Dives. There are four locations; the Manchester location is tiny, but worth a visit.

Puritan Backroom Restaurant

Puritan Backroom Restaurant

245 Hooksett Road, Manchester, NH 03104
, (603) 669-6890

Family restaurant that's been in operation since 1917 (the dining room probably hasn't been renovated since the 1970s, which makes it kind of kitschy fun). They claim to have been the first to serve chicken fingers; not sure if this claim is true or not, but they do make really good ones. Dining room is open and they offer take out.

Granfanally's

Granfanally's

354 North Broadway, Salem, NH 03079
, (603) 898-4412

Small, casual restaurant serving great garlic knot pizza. The dining room is small, but take out is avaliable.

Jamison’s

Jamison’s

472 New Hampshire 111, Hampstead, NH 03841
, (603) 489-1565

Offering pub food and drinks, this restaurant is located just down the street from the wedding venue. During warmer months, they have a tent set up in the parking lot to offer outdoor dining to accommodate COVID restrictions.

For all the days along the way
