Katrina & Christopher

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Melannie Vallejo

Maid of Honor

I’m the bride’s best friend since the 1st grade! Over the years we’ve made so many great memories that I will be forever thankful for. I won’t ever forget was the time we started a band with a few of our friends. Band practice was legit with our fake instruments that we didn’t know how to play (LOL). Riot Fest wasn’t ready for Torn Roses! While our band departed ways, I’m so grateful that we remained in each other’s lives for more than 20 years. This just goes to show that our friendship has definitely stood the test of time. We’ve been through so much together- the good, the bad, and ugly and I honestly couldn’t image myself going through life with anyone other than her. I really can’t thank my lucky stars enough for a best friend like Katrina.

Chris’s older brother. When we were little our parents would always try to hide gifts on the highest shelf of their closet. I used to let Chris stand on my back to lift him up so he can grab them. Now he hides the best snacks in the highest places so I can't get them without him.

Where do I even begin?! I met Katrina my freshman year in high school however we became closer our sophomore year. We got to know each other more in our sociology class and we clicked. Throughout high school we became close & she definitely knew how to make me laugh and we had some really fun times together as teenagers. We enjoyed going out to restaurants and get-togethers. Who could forget those basement parties ! Overall, we’ve managed to stay close post-high school and have been able to confide in each other about a lot of things. I’ve seen her & Chris’ relationship grow from the time they first got together and to now that they’re getting married. I’m so grateful to have her in my life especially for the times we need each other’s support to some fun and wild crazy times!

Some say soulmates aren’t limited to romantic relationships, but can also be found in friendships. I, for one, believe they can be found in the garbage, behind Beauty Bar where Kat spotted me and my raccoon family. Curious of her luscious locks and Doc Martens, I climbed out of my home and engaged in a fascinating conversation where we discovered a shared appreciation of angsty emo/punk music and spicy Korean stew. This marked the beginning of our many adventures. From midnight car podcasts to hobby lobby Spongebob singalongs, our time spent together has never been wasted. All the precious memories we’ve collected so far, have an everlasting place in my arteries; but my favorite are the moments in which our shared company allowed for space to be vulnerable and unabashedly ourselves.

Chris’s cousin. Funny story I remember well is his/Mike’s mutual bday party in Lincoln park 2017 when he got so drunk that he got carried out by 2 guys and the next day I see pictures of him asleep in the jacuzzi.

Kat and I have know each other for about twelve years. At first she was best friends with my husband and then I stole her from him and now here we are. She’s become one of my very best friends and I’ve been honored to be one of her bridesmaids. The first time her and I actually hung out, I almost killed her in a McDonalds drive thru by running over a curb… she still continued to pursue me despite the fact that she was almost my first victim of man slaughter. Our friendship has grown since then and she has been there for me more in more ways than she or I can count because we’re both dumbasses. Anyways, I couldn’t be more happy for these two extremely weird humans to tie the knot again (not for insurance reasons this time). I love them both very much, they truly are made for each other.

How we met, honestly don’t remember the first time we met. Had to be at a Zarraga sponsored event but when I got hella close with Chris was I think it was my 21st birthday, got hella Fucked up and went to the boat. Slept over in the basement at the Zarraga’s house and had some great conversations. Drunk talks really are the best talks. Story is that we all came back from vegas, which was a trip full of “love” 😘 and the love carried over when we got home and of course being at Dan’s wedding there was more love in the air and my love for chris exploded and I needed to kiss my mans.

I have known ate Katrina for a very long time, back when she went by ate Kay Kay. We're pretty much cousins. Ate Katrina and I became close in high school since she and my now husband were friends. I never really talked to her before then but I truly wish I had. She has been a guide in so many ways and I will never be able to thank her enough for it. Over the last 9 years we have had so many great memories. I hate to be cliche but every time I hang out with ate it's a moment I cherish. She has been more than a friend and a cousin, she is a big sister to me. I love you ate! May we always be neighbors♡

I have known Chris since 3rd grade. There are lots of memories I have with Chris! We go back to when we played tag in elementary school, doing filipino basketball leagues together, and all the crazy times when we are drunk. One funny memory I have is when I got drunk on a cruise in the Bahamas and drunk called Chris. He ended up paying a hefty roaming fee. For some reason I always have to call Chris when I get drunk. That's how much he means to me. Love you man!

I met Kat about 7 years ago through my husband. They dated back in high school for a brief period of time but remained close friends. At first I was bothered by how close they were. I would always think, “Who does she think she is! Why is she always around my boyfriend!” I was not a fan of her at first. One night our group of friends went out. While everyone was dancing, Kat stepped outside by herself. I followed her because I didn’t want her to be alone. It was then when our friendship blossomed. She’s the complete opposite of me but our friendship works. She welcomed me with open arms into our group. Without her I don’t know where I would be in my life. So thank you Harold for coming into my life so I can meet Kat. She is one of my best friends and I’m so lucky to have her in my life.

I met Kat my freshman year in high school through my sister, Stef. I remember having the same lunch period as Kat and I instantly became her little sister and favorite freshman! Haha. One of my favorite random moments was years ago when I told her that I really liked the sizzling sounds of the food cooking from Sarku Japan at Stratford Mall LOL  From that point on, she decided to nickname me "Sarku”

Chris’s cousin. When Chris and I were kids, our lola used yardsticks for two things: to measure our heights and to spank us. The rebellious one of the bunch, Chris didn't like this and he started breaking the yardsticks while our lola would buy replacements. This went back and forth for a few years, but you can tell when she gave up because the sharpie lines to mark our measurements stopped when he was in grade school.
