Biking
Kiawah is an amazing place to bike, either on the designated bike paths throughout the island or directly on the beach. It is one of our favorite activities and we highly recommend it. Below are a few rental options to book in advance. If you are renting a villa or home from the Kiawah Resort, rent bikes online or phone directly through Kiawah Resort at 843-768-6001. If you are staying at the Sanctuary, bikes will be made available to you through the hotel. If you are staying at the Andell Inn, rent from Seacoast Sports at 843-768-8486 located directly in Freshfields Village.
Beach
Kiawah Island boasts 10 miles of pristine beach for guests to enjoy. The beach is great to relax, run, or bike on. You can access the beach through many public entrances around the island. If desired, beach chair and umbrella rentals are available through Kiawah Resort booked online or phone at 843-768-6001. They will deliver and set up at the boardwalk closest to where you're staying.
Golf
For those wanting to book a tee time at one of the 5 championship courses, please contact the courses directly. Anyone staying at The Sanctuary or renting through the Kiawah Resort will receive a discount.
Tennis & Pickle Ball
Court reservations and racket rentals can be booked in advance for both tennis and pickle ball.
Additional Recreational Activities
There are a variety of recreational activities on the island through the Kiawah Resort - Kayak, paddle board, fitness classes, and more.
Beauty & Relaxation
Sanctuary Spa - beautiful full service spa at The Sanctuary Hotel and is open to non-hotel guests as well. Urban Nirvana Spa and Salon at Freshfields Village - separate locations for spa services and hair.
Freshfields Village
Located right off the island, Freshfields Village is a great place to explore as it has more than 30 shops, restaurants, services, a grocery store, and the Andell Inn hotel. Our after party will be hosted at the King Street Grille located in Freshfields Village.
Bohicket Marina & Market
Bohicket Marina is located in between Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. The marina offers charters, boat rentals, and select shops and restaurants.
On-Island Dining Options
There are a variety of dining options throughout Kiawah Island. Reservations vary and can be booked through individual restaurants in the link attached.
Charleston
Kiawah Island is approximately 45 minutes from downtown historic Charleston. While we do not recommend staying in Charleston on the wedding night, it is a great day trip!
