Kiawah Island brings together the best of South Carolina's low country with beautiful beaches, stunning marshes, a natural habitat for wild animals, as well as numerus recreational activities.
As soon as possible! Kiawah is a popular destination (especially during Spring Break) with few lodging options that will book up quickly. Please visit the "Travel & Lodging" tab for more information on accommodation options.
Yes, both will be held at the River Course. Please note that, weather pending, the ceremony will be held outside.

Yes! Shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the Friday and Saturday night events. Please share your accommodations with us on the RSVP form so we can make sure you are included in our transportation agenda. More information forthcoming.
The Sandcastle for the welcome party and River Course for our wedding both have ample parking if you choose to drive. Please note, we are making arrangements for shuttle service available for all guests staying on the island. We encourage you to take advantage of this during your stay.
Staying in Charleston for the weekend is an option, however, transportation to events will be difficult for you as Uber / Lyft from Kiawah back to the mainland is not available. It is a 45 minute drive on dark windy roads. We strongly encourage you to stay on Kiawah. There is parking at the ceremony for those who would prefer to drive and plan to stay sober.
Biking is a great way to get around the island leisurely. Alternatively, if you're accommodations are through the resort, you can take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service to resort locations, or to select off-island locations for a small fee. Please see our "Travel & Lodging" tab for additional information on transportation options and accommodations.
They are welcome to come for the weekend and welcome party, but we ask that they stay home for the ceremony and reception. The resort can arrange qualified babysitters if needed for the night.
