Our bakery! We're open to the public on Friday mornings from 8am-11am with a full spread of bread, pastry, coffee, burritos, and quiche. Please come in and check it out. If you miss Friday morning - fear not. We will have a couple more opportunities to eat croissants and treats together over the course of the weekend. However, if you happen to be in town put this as your first stop!
This is our wedding venue. While we'll be occupying one of the back orchard sections, there's more to the venue than where we'll all mostly be hanging for wedding festivities. You'll see when you're here that there is a bar, restaurant, cafe, concert and picnic area, swings, farmstore, and many acres of u-pick, disc golf, and a pond to explore. One of the highlights of Big B's is their free concert series held every Friday evening!
By far, the best coffee in town! Plus they're partnered with the local bookshop so it's a double good pit stop.
Our dear friend runs this restaurant. Rosie loves the rabbit rangoon and we love it all. Great place to get lunch or dinner for the margarita and taco lover.
This is our buddy's chocolate shop. We really, really love the drinking chocolate. They also have chocolate bars and dark chocolate covered local fresh fruit.
Coffee, breakfast, lunch options - good sandwiches and salads! Gluten free options. We love it for it's spacious outdoor area with big shady trees.
Keblar Pass is a mountain pass that connects our valley over to Crested Butte. It's a stunningly beautiful drive for those comfortable driving on a winding dirt road. There are many pull offs with incredible views of the mountains and if we're fortunate - there will still be some golden foliage while you're here. It's hard to beat hiking in the fall in the Rockies! If you like to hike - we have many trail recommendations. If you like a long scenic drive, go over to Crested Butte and make a day of it. "FYI It's a very curvy road so if you get motion sickness consider Motrin or anti-nausea wristbands (they actually work!).* *Mind you, you'll be at altitude so hiking on Kebler Pass may be more challenging for our guests coming from sea level! Don't let it stop you, but it's important to be mindful of that by taking it slow, drinking a lot of water, and consider using electrolytes.*
Storytime happens every Thursday at 10:30am and is followed by a great play session for kiddos around the ages of 0-5! This is a free event open to the public. One of Rosie's favorite weekly activities - she would love to be joined by any other children.
We love spending time at Paonia Town Park. If you need a place for the children to run wild, this is perfect. It's a large shady grassy park with play structures appropriate for bigger and smaller children. There are lots of places for picnicking. This is a wonderful place to spend a little downtime outside.
These hot springs are perhaps the most kid friendly in the region. Note that it is clothing optional! We love to come here to relax as a family - Rosie really enjoys hanging in her floaty in the warm water. There are a number of pools at different temperatures, a sauna, cold plunge and lobster pot, lots of space for picnicking,
If you want to live it up while you're here, since you've managed to make it all the way out to Western Colorado, we'd recommend booking a visit to Avalanche Ranch hot springs. The houses and cabins are comfortable and the hot springs are absolutely lovely. This place books out far in advance so you'll want to book as early as possible.
