Wanaka is the best location in New Zealand for outdoor enthusiasts, and those seeking time in nature.
The best way to get to Wanaka is by flying into Queenstown airport, and then driving ~1.5 hours to Wanaka.
If you do not wish to rent a car, there are shuttle services between Queenstown and Wanaka, however a car will give you greater freedom to explore everything Wanaka has to offer once you are there!
There will be buses for the wedding, please let us know if you will be using the bus by using the RSVP function.

Taxis and Ubers
Wanaka is a small town and has limited taxi resources. Taxi companies in Wanaka are Yello, Wana Taxi, and there are others too. If you plan on using a taxi, we recommend you pre-book. Uber is not available in Wanaka.

There are a variety of hotels, as well as airbnb's available in Wanaka. Lookout Lodge is a ~15 minute drive from Wanaka town. The bus route to the wedding will start in town, before making it's way along Beacon Point Rd --> Aubry Road --> Albert Town Lake Hawea Road --> Maungawera Valley Road.
