Short Walks
1. Mt Iron - The hill in and overlooking Wanaka. Great views of the lake and local mountains. Either do a short up and down from the carpark on the main road into town or do a longer loop over and around. 2. Clutha outlet - Flat, very pretty beside the river. Park at either the outlet motor camp or the Albert Town end and return to your car. 3. Lakefront to Eely point - From the waterfront head to the right. Go as far as you wish. This connects to the Clutha outlet walk. 4. Wanaka Tree / Waterfall Creek - Starts at the Wanaka Watersports building at the western end of the waterfront and head away from town. Watch out for bridal parties and tourists taking photos of the Wanaka tree. Track continues as far as you wish to go.
