FAQs

Here are the answers to some questions you may have! If you have any other questions that aren't listed, please don't hesitate to reach out to either Chris or I.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you are able to RSVP when you receive your invitation, that would be great and very helpful! The last day to RSVP is April 22nd. If we do not get a RSVP back by that date, we will have to mark you as a "no". We will miss having you at the wedding, but we need to give our vendors the final count in a timely manner! We are really hoping that you are all able to attend. :)

Question

Can I bring a date/+1?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore all of your kids, we decided to keep the wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of children in the wedding party and family. We hope you understand and use this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the 5pm ceremony time. This gives us enough time to be on schedule. If you are late and the wedding has started, we ask that you either sit in the back or if there isn't an open seat there, please stand in the back until the ceremony is finished.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire (semi-formal). No shorts or jeans please! The wedding will be a spring garden party aesthetic, but please wear anything you like. For men, we recommend wearing a suit jacket, blazer, or nice shirt with nice pants. Just get ready to dance the night away :) Ladies - the wedding and reception will be on grass, so please plan accordingly with your shoes. Block heels, platforms, flats, etc. are recommended so you don't sink into the grass. Since it can get chilly at night, a shawl or light jacket is recommended.

Question

Is there parking for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! While we do have a shuttle that we recommend you take if you are staying in Sedona, there are plenty of spots for you to park at on the property. We will have signs guiding you to the parking area but it is an open grass field near the Millar house. Once you park, you will have to walk down a hill to get to the ceremony.

Question

Can i take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say "I do". We hired an amazing photographer and videographer who will captures all the special moments and we will share them with you as soon as we receive them. However, you are more than welcome to bring out your cameras and phones during the reception!

Question

Where should i stay?

Answer

Please look at our "logistics" tab to see the hotels we recommend! The shuttle will ONLY be servicing Sedona so keep that in mind if you are looking at Cottonwood. We recommend doubling up with other couples if possible to keep the hotel cost more affordable! Airbnb is also a great option!

Question

Is there transportation to/from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Please look at the "logistics" tab for more information on the shuttle. The pickup time is incredibly important! The shuttle will also take you back to wherever you are staying in Sedona (NOT cottonwood). Please write where you are staying on your RSVP card so I can share that with the shuttle!

Question

Are There Ubers and Lyfts?

Answer

There are Ubers and Lyfts but they are limited since Sedona is a small town and we can't guarantee there will be any available at the time you want to leave. The service at the property is also spotty so I would recommend trying to schedule one in advance if you know the time you want to leave by!

Question

Will There be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us. We will have signature cocktails, wine, and beer for you to enjoy. There will also be a water and tea station as well!

Question

What Food Will Be Served?

Answer

We are excited to be having a local Phoenix restaurant cater our food for the night! It was important for us to not only pick food that fit the vibe of our outdoor wedding but make sure it was absolutely delicious. They will have a charcuterie spread available for you at cocktail hour. Then, the dinner will be served buffet style so you will bring your plate up to them. They use as much organic produce, natural meats and top quality cheeses they can get their hands on. Also, the dinner can be modified to meet any dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.) so every one of our guests receives the same high quality experience. Please make sure to note this on your invitation!
