Hotel

Room Block: Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel Old Town

4041 Harney Street
San Diego, CA 92110
 (619) 298-4707

This ain't your average Best Western - it's a Best Western Plus. And it's in Old Town. In 1769, Father Junipero Serra arrived in Old Town, claimed it for Spain, and set up the first European settlement in California. A lot of things have changed since then. Now, there's a pool, jacuzzi, tequila, and tacos. You might want to claim it for yourselves next summer - move over, Junipero! ~10 min ride to the venue

Hotel

Room Block: Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Airport/Liberty Station

2592 Laning Road
San Diego, CA 92106
 (619) 221-1900

Liberty Station used to be a place where Navy recruits trained prior to going to war. But fear not - things have changed. There's new stuff to do in Liberty Station: restaurants, walking paths, water sports, a 9 hole golf course, hopscotch and juggling. To be fair, the latter two can be done in most places. This is a great place to stay for the active and restless who want to be closer to the water. Check out the Liberty Public Market, Moniker Coffee, and the Loma Club. ~15 min ride to the venue

Hotel

Loews Coronado Bay Resort

4000 Coronado Bay Road
Coronado, CA 92118
 (877) 872-8559

Although this is a drive from the venue, we want to throw this option out there for any folks that want a luxury, beach vibe if they're coming all the way out to California. Depending on availability, the rooms are quite reasonable! Comparable options for this vibe: Kona Kai in Point Loma, Torrey Pines Hilton in La Jolla. Feel free to ask us about these options! ~20 min ride to venue

House Or Rental

AirBnB or Other Hotels

If you're going to grab another hotel or AirBnB nearby, here are some neighborhoods we recommend. ~5-15 minutes to venue: -Old Town- (restaurants, central, history) -Point Loma- (views, waterfront options, Shelter Island) -Mission Hills- (beautiful, quaint, walkable - more AirBnbs than hotels available) -Little Italy- (downtown, central, waterfront, bars and restaurants) -Mission Beach/Bay- (for a beach vacation!) Neighborhoods to choose with caution: -Downtown Gaslamp- (plenty of hotel options, restaurants, and things to do, but gets busy, dirty and loud in spots. There may be a convention going on as well) -Pacific Beach & La Jolla- (Be prepared for a longer trip into the venue, welcome party and rehearsal dinner. Maybe 20-30 minutes depending on traffic)
