Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Annie Tomasek and Chris Severn
Making this a vacation? San Diego has plenty for you to do from the beach (of course) to the zoo to some pretty cool restaurants. Hit us up if you need any recommendations, especially to eat since we didn't list any here. But also, go to Oscar's. Just do it.
Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach, CA

Annie lived in Pacific Beach for 4 years upon moving to San Diego. While it may be known for its party vibes, Tourmaline Surf Park and the beach north of the pier is a local favorite for soaking up some rays. It also happens to be where Chris proposed!

Black's Beach

Black's Beach

La Jolla, CA 92037

This one is a bit of a trek, but if you want to see the most beautiful beach in San Diego head to Black's. Walk too far down though and you might see more than you thought. And by that we mean a lot of naked people. So beware!

Torrey Pines State Beach

Torrey Pines State Beach

La Jolla, CA

One of Chris's favorite golf courses, hit up Torrey Pines for an extra special day on the links. Golfing not for you? It's also one of the most popular "hikes" in San Diego with a view of the entire San Diego coastline from the top. Try to go at low tide so you can walk along the beach on your way back.

San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo

San Diego, CA 92101

Bringing the kiddos? Or want to drink beers while you look at animals? The zoo is less than a half mile from the venue and a great way to spend the day. The Zoo is all about animal rescue, research and conservation so go learn a thing or two about elephants. Or drive up to Escondido ~30 minutes away to the Safari Park where you can see more of the same and go wine tasting after!

Liberty Public Market

Liberty Public Market

San Diego, CA

Hungry? Thirsty? Need to exercise? Liberty Station is one of our favorite places to hang out where you can explore the market (a smaller version of Reading Terminal for those of you from Philly), drink beers at Stone Brewing, take a spin class at Sparkcycle, go stand up paddle boarding, or visit one of the many restaurants in the area. If you're staying at the hotel we recommended, all of this is walkable!

Mission Bay

Mission Bay

San Diego, CA

From pontoon/boat rentals, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, biking the board walk, beach volleyball or lounging on the sand, Mission Bay has it all. Right on the other side of Mission Beach there is lots to explore. It's the perfect place for you active people, as well as for those who just need a nice relaxing day in the sun.

Coronado

Coronado

Coronado, CA

Probably one of the most iconic and recognizable places in San Diego, Coronado is the place to get a classic San Diego experience. There is a golf course (make your reservation early as it gets booked up), the Hotel Del, the beach, and incredible views of Point Loma/Cabrillo National Monument. The drive across the Coronado Bridge alone makes it worth the visit.

Breweries

Breweries

Everywhere,

San Diego has breweries galore! You've got Ballast Point in Little Italy, Stone Brewing in Liberty Station, Eppig Brewing in Point Loma (our favorite), Pure Project in Bankers Hill (our other favorite across from our apartment), and many more, especially in the North Park neighborhood.
