Shuttle
June 15, 2022 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
If you marked on our transportation survey that you need a ride to our wedding, shuttles will have (2) designated hotel pickup and drop off locations. You will be responsible for getting to and from the hotel if you’re not staying at the hotel. Please check the hotel addresses below to select the most convenient pickup location for you. Shuttles will drop guests back at their hotels by 10:00PM or 11:30PM, and also take those interested to our after party at Acme Bar. (The DJ will announce when shuttles arrive to take you back to your hotels so you don't have to worry about watching the clock!) 3:00PM Pickup (and drop off at the end of the night) at Hotel Shattuck | 2086 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704 Berkeley City Club | 2315 Durant Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704 3:10PM Pickup (and drop off at the end of the night) at Berkeley City Club | 2315 Durant Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704 If you did not respond to our transportation survey, or marked that you do not need a ride, then you will not have a seat on one of the shuttles. Hotel
Let them know you'd like a room in the "VandenBrink-Joslyn" block of rooms and you'll be ideally located for all pre and post wedding activities! *PLEASE NOTE: This hotel does not have its own parking lot. You can try to park on the street, or pay for parking at one of the nearby public lots (cost ranges from $30-65/night). For a hassle-free and likely cheaper option (depending on the length of your stay), consider Uber or Lyft.
Hotel
Let them know you'd like a room in the "VandenBrink-Joslyn" block of rooms and you'll be ideally located for all pre and post wedding activities! *PLEASE NOTE: Berkeley City Club has a first-come first-serve parking lot available for guests for $29/night. Once you arrive to check-in, you can let them know you would like to park in the lot, and they'll give you all the information you need. Street parking is available nearby, but most of it is metered. For a hassle-free option, consider Uber or Lyft.
Flight
Flying into SFO gives you the most options for direct flights. Once you arrive, we recommend renting a car for the drive or taking BART to Berkeley, and then taking an Uber/Lyft to your accommodations. Please note: If you're planning to arrive at SFO in the afternoon, and you're staying in Berkeley, you might consider taking BART to avoid sitting in hour(s)-long Bay Area traffic. Keep scrolling down for BART information.
Flight
Oakland's airport is much closer to Berkeley than San Francisco's (especially if you factor in Bay Area traffic). We recommend that you compare flights between SFO and Oakland to see what makes the most sense for your travel plans.
Train
BART is a great public transportation option for traveling to/from SFO and Oakland to Berkeley. If you're coming from Oakland International Airport, you will take the Orange Line train to Richmond and hop off at your closest East Bay destination (if you're staying in Berkeley, your stop will either be Ashby, Downtown Berkeley, or North Berkeley). The train will take about 40 minutes, and will cost $9-$12. If you're coming from San Francisco International Airport, you will take the Red Line train to Richmond, and hop off at your closest East Bay destination (if you're staying in Berkeley, your stop will either be Ashby, Downtown Berkeley, or North Berkeley). The train will take about an hour and will cost between $9-$12.
House Or Rental
Check out Airbnb and put "North Berkeley" in the Location search for places near all of our week-of wedding activities! If North Berkeley locations are unavailable, you can simply search for "Berkeley," or "Albany," "El Cerrito," or "Oakland" to stay in adjacent cities.
Travel Note
If you don't want to rent a car, Uber and Lyft are readily available and great options for traveling around Berkeley and the Bay Area!
Rental Car
Rental cars are a good option for moving freely around the Bay Area. Please keep in mind that both of our hotel blocks are located in downtown Berkeley where parking can be tricky. In addition, our wedding venue is nestled atop steep and windy roads, with spotty cell phone reception, and limited on-site parking. If you can swing it, we recommend utilizing BART, car sharing services, and our wedding day shuttles instead.
