We met through a mutual friend and the rest is history! Kidding, well kind of. We met in 2015, through a mutual friend who played football with Chris at William and Mary at the time (shoutout to you Jesse Santiago!). Jesse introduced us and we had our first date scheduled within a matter of weeks. For our first date, we went to a sushi restaurant in Williamsburg. We talked about what means the most to us; family, friends, sports, and just the journey of life and what goals we had set for ourselves for the future. We remained in contact throughout college and made it official in the Spring of 2018. We both often say that God has a unique way of guiding your paths in life, and we know without a doubt that he was the driving force in our relationship from the start. After doing long distance for a little over a year, Chris moved to Newport News for grad school and we saw each other almost every day; which was a very nice change for us. In 2020 when the world shut down, we moved in with each other and a year later we had our first child together, a puppy that is. Not many couples can say that they survived a global pandemic, quarantine, two moves, two dogs, two graduations, two career moves, and so much more together. But, we can. Fast forward to the present- we are living in our first townhome together with our two children, our goldens, Daphnie and Winston, Aimee is teaching 4th Grade in Williamsburg and Chris is working in Clinical Research remotely (lucky! ... but he does spend a lot of time traveling for work), and we are planning our dream wedding and the future family we have always wanted. Every day is a blessing and we have cherished every single one - the good and the bad. We are over the moon excited for our forever and to see how God is going to move in our marriage . We can't wait to celebrate with you and give you a closer look into what our family, our love, and our journey is all about.
