Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us!

Kory Glossop

Matron of Honor

Kory is the bride's oldest sister and second mom/youth leader/friend! Despite their 10 year age gap, Kory and the bride have always been close (mainly due to Kory being great at staying invested in her little sister's life!). Kory is mother to the bride's three favorite nephews and is an awesome mom (probably from her practice on her little sister :)). From sleepovers in her college dorm to hangouts on her couch whenever, the bride will always be grateful for her sister's kindness, wisdom, and generosity, and is so grateful to have her expertise, insight, and help in preparation for the big day! She genuinely couldn't do it without her and is so excited to have her there on the big day!

Josh Yagel

Best Man

Josh and the groom met in their freshman seminar class during their first semester at Bridgewater College, though they didn't become friends until a year later when they started taking physical education classes together. While working and studying together, they learned that they had a mutual love of sports, physical activity, jokes, and most importantly, God. Ever since, Josh has been the groom's go-to guy. He always shows up for him, challenges him, and prays for him. Josh is authentic, loyal, generous, strong, and funny. He always points the groom towards the Lord and the groom is thankful to have Josh by his side on his wedding day. Josh always has the groom's back, and the groom is blessed to have him on his team for life.

Kelly Castro-Chikes

Matron of Honor

Kelly is the bride's second older sister and twin separated by two years. These two grew up being very close (literally-they shared a room for a good chunk of their lives, and even at times, a bed) and still are to this day! Kelly is the bride's confidant, go-to make-up/beauty/hair consultant, and comedian when she needs a good laugh. Kelly is incredibly generous and fiercely loyal-she's someone you definitely want in your corner. Kelly has been a source of great advice and encouragement throughout the bride's life, and is great at reminding her when she's being a little overly anxious, and to not take things too seriously. The bride couldn't imagine her wedding day without Kelly!

Kevin Cahill

Groomsman

Kevin and the groom met while attending Transit Church in Alexandria, VA. Over their time together at church, they grew from acquaintances to friends. They can talk about anything, ranging from the best places to eat questions about outer-space or from their theological stances on various issues, to the latest episode of their favorite podcast (Southside Rabbi if you're looking for a good recommendation!). Kevin has a unique way of making you feel special when you are talking to him, like you’re the only person around. He is faithful, wise, patient, kind, generous, and fired up for the Lord. No matter what is going on, Kevin has always been there for the groom, even if it means meeting up at 6:30am for coffee! The groom is grateful to call him a friend and to have Kevin support him on his big day!

Emily Maguder

Bridesmaid

Emily is the sister of the groom and friend of the bride! Being only one year younger than the groom, she has all the good dirt on him, but has also been a good friend. Emily is kind, generous, a literal model (just look at that picture!) and always takes the bride's side in arguments :) Emily is confident, but humble, hard-working, intentional, and her heart for the Lord is inspiring. The bride is honored to have been welcomed in and loved by Emily. She has been a great roommate to the groom, and has helped encourage and spur on Connor when he needed an extra push. The bride can't wait for a lifetime of fun adventures with her soon to be sister-in-law!

Nathan Maguder

Groomsman

Nathan and the groom met in the fall of 1998 when the groom's parents brought Nathan home from the hospital. He is not only the groom's little brother, but also his friend. Pretty much all of the groom's memories from childhood involve Nathan. Though sharing a room meant they had their share of fights, they also had a lot of fun together. The groom remembers fondly when he and Nathan would make forts on their bottom bunk and watch movies until they fell asleep. Nathan is kind, smart, patient, strong, and probably one of the funniest people the groom knows. The groom is so excited to have his little brother stand by him on his big day!!

Jen Rose

Bridesmaid

Jen came this close to beating out the groom as the bride's roommate for life! The bride has the University of Maryland to thank for giving her one of her dearest friends in Jen, when they assigned her as the bride's roommate their freshman year of college. The two lived together all four years and enjoyed many movie and ice cream nights (Jen would be "doing homework" while the bride watched Lifetime mystery movies, but somehow always managed to gasp at the suspenseful moment ;)). Whether it's hanging out in Annapolis, MD, or Ojojona, Honduras, these two always have a great time together. The bride is incredibly grateful for Jen's faithfulness, loyal friendship, sound wisdom, and heart for the Lord. The bride is so glad that Jen is willing to fly all the way to Virginia to join her on her big day, because it wouldn't be the same without her!

Seth Shook

Groomsman

The groom is incredibly grateful to have someone like Seth in his life. Seth is one of the elders at the Transit Church, and one of the leaders of the groom's small group (shout out to his wife Michelle Shook too!) He has been a source of wise council for the groom during difficult times in his life and always points the groom back to the importance of humility and taking things to the Lord. Seth and his wife Michelle have helped disciple the groom, welcoming him into their home for weekly dinners together. These times have had a huge impact on the groom and encouraged him to be the best man and future husband that he can be. The groom is grateful to not only have Seth as a groomsman, but as a mentor and friend.

Rebeca Gore

Bridesmaid

The bride and Rebeca have known each other almost their entire lives. They became good friends in Sunday school at NPC, and bonded through various missions trips, youth retreats, and working together at the church. Rebeca is an absolute light. She and the bride often swap stories about the joys and challenges of working in ministry, and finding home in different places around the world. Rebeca is filled with love for others, and is great at making anyone feel welcome in her presence. She is always up to try something new and exciting! Rebeca will probably be one of the first ones on the dance floor, and get ready to be impressed by her moves! Reby is steadfast, fun, and faith-filled. The bride is lucky to call her a friend!

Justin Stattner

Groomsman

Though the groom and Justin haven't known each other that long, they quickly became friends after meeting at church. Justin is one of those people that you can feel like you've known your whole life, even if you haven't. He has an authenticity to him that allows you to get to know him quickly, and a joy and excitement for life that is fun to be around. He is kind, approachable, faithful, intelligent, and just an overall cool guy! The groom has enjoyed getting to explore local sites with this Idaho native, and is glad that he's willing to come back out east for the wedding!

Abigail McGucken

Bridesmaid

Abigail is not only a good friend of the bride, but also her co-worker and her roommate, so she wears multiple hats! Abigail and the bride have bonded over a shared love for the world and travel, grandma-ish interior design, UMD students, and the Lord. Abigail is truly one-of-a-kind and the bride is grateful to have her goofy antics and spontaneous ideas for adventures to remind her to enjoy life and not take things too seriously. Abigail is also a deeply caring and wise friend not only to the bride, but also the groom. Abigail has had a front row seat to much of their relationship, and has been a part of many of their treasured memories. The bride is grateful to have found not only a great roommate and bridesmaid, but a great friend in Abigail!

Caleb Mathew

Groomsman

Caleb and the groom met about 2 years ago at church. From the very start, Caleb and the groom connected over their love of sports, worship songs, and funny stories. Caleb is one of the best story tellers that the groom knows and the groom could listen to him tell stories for hours. Caleb has an incredible heart for worshipping God and making His name known. The groom always enjoys the times that he, Justin, and Caleb get together over dinner and hang out, catch-up, and encourage one another. The groom is grateful for Caleb's friendship!

Tamara Omazic

Bridesmaid

One of the oldest and dearest friends of the bride, Tamara is a force to be reckoned with. Though she is small, she is mighty. She and the bride met about 22 years ago, when the bride's older sister told her to ask Tamara why she smiled so much. That somehow began a lifelong friendship filled with pretend games, late night pizzas and KitKats, family vacations, and even traveling the world together. Tamara is smart, driven, and loyal. She and the bride love to talk about new places they've visited and ones they still have yet to see (they still need their Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants summer in Santorini!). Tamara is also incredibly kind-hearted, funny, and passionate. She's been set as one of the bride's bridesmaids for about 20 years now, so it is pretty exciting to actually have it happen!

Tim Miller

Groomsman

Tim and the groom met during the groom's freshman year of college. Tim was one of his teammates on the Bridgewater College Cross Country and Track and Field team. When the groom first met Tim, he knew that there was something special about him. He always knew how to make the groom laugh, and was easy to be around. No matter the circumstance, Tim seemed to lighten up any situation he and the groom were in. It wasn't until later into their friendship that the groom learned about Tim's faith, which ended up having a massive impact on his own. Tim’s kindness, patience, wisdom, and guidance have helped shepherd the groom to the Lord. Without Tim, he would be a totally different person today. Despite living across the world, Tim still makes effort to catch up and talk, which the groom is incredibly grateful for. Tim is unapologetically himself, a great cook, wise, generous, and faithful. The groom is thankful to have him in his life!

Sara Murphy

Bridesmaid

The bride can't remember when she and Sara became friends, because the bride can't remember a time that she didn't know Sara! They grew up as next door neighbors and went through elementary, middle, and high school together. From hiding at the end of the swim lane underwater to get out of swimming more laps, to playing "Firefly Eater" in their front yards these two have been as thick as thieves for their whole lives. Sara is hilarious and smart. She is a devoted friend, always quick to lend a helping hand, and the bride cannot imagine her life without her. Seven years ago the bride got to stand by Sara's side as she got married, and now the roles are going to be reversed! How cool!

Cody Mellinger

Groomsman

There isn’t enough room in this small space to say everything that the groom could say about Cody. Cody is the kind of friend that everyone needs. He faithfully reaches out to the groom, and is always supportive, and looks out for him. Being that he is also an Adapted Physical Education teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, he and the groom are able to connect on the challenges and joys of what they do. Cody is also a former roommate, and one of the first of the groom's friends to meet the bride! He reminds the groom of the importance of hard work, dedication, and obedience.

Caleb Glossop

Ring Bearer

Caleb is the bride's oldest nephew and the oldest of the Glossop Boy Brigade. Wicked smart, silly, and mature beyond his years, this guy is going to go on to great things. Ask him anything about any national park, or Harry Potter, and you'll get him talking for hours. The bride and groom are so excited to have him be a special part of their wedding! He also loves to cut a rug, so look out for him on the dance floor!

Levi Glossop

Flower Boy

Levi is the bride's second nephew and middle child of the Glossop household. He is an incredibly kind, sweet, and caring little guy and he LOVES animals. Seriously, his dream profession is to work in animal rescue. He's got a contagious laugh and adorable smile which can brighten anyone's day. The bride and groom are looking forward to him flashing those pearly whites as he walks down the aisle on the big day!

Judah Glossop

Flower Boy

Judah is the bride's youngest nephew and though he was born last, he's no shrinking violet. Judah is a little fireball, full of energy and fun, expressive and a little crazy (in a good way). Will he toss the flowers gently, or run down the aisle while imitating a lion's roar? It's anyone's guess. Stay tuned on January 14th to find out!
