When we got engaged, we knew it would be challenging to plan a wedding in the midst of a pandemic. We know that all our guests are taking a risk to celebrate with us, and we want to respect our loved ones by following some simple etiquette. Our Lady of the Assumption, where the ceremony will be held, has well established covid protocol. Masks are required, and alternate pews will be blocked off to allow for more space between rows. Groups of the same household may be seated together, but groups from different households will be seated 6 feet apart. At the reception, we ask that guests wear masks at food and drink stations, and when going inside of the house to use the restroom or for any other reason. When approaching guests from other households, especially those you do not know, please be mindful that some guests may want to keep their distance, and may prefer you to wear a mask. We ask that you respect the boundaries of other guests even if they are different from your own.
We never know for sure in Michigan, but the prediction for April 24th is a high of 62 (mid-day) and a low of 41 (at night). We recommend bringing a warm layer in-case we're on the lower end of the average.
Attire requested is semi-formal, and we advise you to bring an extra layer in case it is cold or windy. We will be outdoors on grass, so maybe leave your stilettos at home!
