So much to celebrate!

2021 is a big year for us- we are getting married, and we are also excited to share that we are welcoming our first child into the world. With a baby on the way, we decided to move the wedding up to give us time to prepare for the next big thing- becoming parents. We appreciate your understanding, and we realize that the timing may not allow everyone enough time to plan to celebrate with us, but we are so grateful for all of you, your love, your support, and your irreplaceable role in our lives.

Once upon a time in New York City...

Once upon a time in New York city, a girl from Texas and a boy from Michigan shook hands in St. Patricks Cathedral and said "Peace be with you." Afterwards at Connolly's Irish pub, they got to talking, and haven't been able to stop ever since. Since then, they have walked across Spain, made a movie in India, run a Catholic Worker House in New Mexico, and most recently, moved back to Michigan to take on the next big adventure: Starting a family.

COVID Precautions

A year ago when we got engaged, we knew it would be challenging to plan a wedding in the midst of a pandemic. We know that all our guests are taking a risk to celebrate with us, and we want to respect our loved ones by following some simple etiquette. Our Lady of the Assumption, where the ceremony will be held, has well established covid protocol. Masks are required, and alternate pews will be blocked off to allow for more space between rows. Groups of the same household may be seated together, but groups from different households will be seated 6 feet apart. At the reception, we ask that guests wear masks at food and drink stations, and when going inside of the house to use the restroom or for any other reason. When approaching guests from other households, especially those you do not know, please be mindful that some guests may want to keep their distance, and may prefer you to wear a mask. We ask that you respect the boundaries of other guests even if they are different from your own.
