What to wear for the brochachos!?!?!?

Cocktail party attire for an evening wedding. Nice jeans, shirt and jacket is fine. Have a suit you like - do it. Have some sweet Nike's ... rock em! I won't be in tuxedo ... you'll see me in a suit and some fresh Nikes.

It's an evening wedding with a fun fall cocktail party. Nothing to formal. Just fun, with a pinch of modern elegance.

Should we rent a car?

Answer

You can, but you may not need to. if you plan to head our for sight-seeing like the Columbia River Gorge, the coast or wine country, a car will be a good idea. if you just want to experience the city life, you'll find you don't need one. Portland's public transportation is really good. We have a light rail system, easy to use public bike program, Uber and Lyft. If you're staying in the Pearl District or Northwest Neighborhood (Slabtown) walking is a great option and there's also the street car!
