We met working onboard a cruise ship in 2024 . We started as good work friends, but after a few months, we knew we had something special. We had our first date docked in Roatan, Honduras. It was such a great day of exploring the town, lunch in a treehouse, and holding animals at a zoo. After that date, we were inseparable. We continued to have date nights on the ship and outings during the day in the various ports of Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and more. After just over a month of dating, James' contract was over, and he headed back home. We spent over 4 months apart and had countless hours of video/phone calls. Until, Claire's contract came to an end, and she could visit him after starting his next contract. We spent 3 beautiful weeks together exploring various stops in Italy, Spain, France, and Malta. After that, it was back to work for Claire and back to long distance for the both of us. This time, we spent 8 months apart, but were counting down the days until our contracts were done and Claire could visit James in Kenya. We spent just over a month visiting family, going on dates, and exploring different cities in Kenya. We went on a magical safari in Masai Mara where James got on one knee at sunset to ask for Claire's hand in marriage. The perfect way to say yes to a lifetime of love, respect, and appreciation. That brings us to the current, where we are planning to have a beautiful wedding in Nairobi, Kenya in 2026! We are planning it all while doing long distance, so this website is the best way to stay up to date on all things wedding related.
