Raven Rocks Trailhead
Drew made Rachel hike to the top of this trail before proposing to her on August 25, 2018. It has beautiful scenery along the way and you cross into West Virginia before getting to the summit!
Dirt Farm Brewing
We went here after the hike when Drew proposed - Drew arranged for friends to surprise Rachel at this brewery afterwards for an impromptu engagement celebration! It has tasty beer and even better views.
Topgolf
Rachel loves going to Topgolf even though her idea of golf is more aligned with Putt-Putt than 18 holes. You can eat tasty bar food and drink beer while hitting golf balls at targets on the driving range - the computerized setup will even keep score for you!
Apple House
We always stop here for fresh apple cider donuts on our way to visit Roanoke or hike in Shenandoah.
Billy Goat Trail
The first hike we took after Rachel moved to Northern Virginia for grad school. The rock scramble in the middle will have you feeling like a true billy goat.
The Winery at Bull Run
The closest winery to our apartment in Arlington! This one has tasty wine, live music, a beautiful outdoor space, and a bit of history too.
