Things To Do

Historic Newport, Rhode Island was founded by English settlers in 1639. Newport is rich in colonial history and tradition. Popular attractions include touring Newport's historic ocean-front mansions, enjoying the water at first and second beach, walking through Newport's historic wharf, and eating at Newport's delicious restaurants. Check out Fort Wetherill State Park for a fun afternoon exploring a historic naval fort. Naval Station Newport is also home to the Naval War College and Naval Justice School--the place where Chaslyn and Jhonathan met.
