As soon as you can! Hard cut off is 2 weeks before the wedding day, so June 10th, 2021. If you are on this site, you may as well RSVP now! *nudge nudge*
Unless something changes with the law or our venue decides to close down, we will not be changing the date. As far as masks or social distancing goes, we will not be enforcing it. We do ask that you use common sense and take precautions if you or a family member is at risk. If you want to wear a mask, then by all means please do! If you want to social distance it will be possible. We will carefully spread our tables and chairs out so that it is an option. This is going to be a self monitor situation. If someone is wearing a mask at the wedding it means they are trying to social distance. We ask that you respect their wishes. Any concerns we didn't cover here? Go ahead and contact us: 503-487-7392
Yes definitely! We want you kids to share this special day with us. Let us know in your RSVP if you are bringing the little ones and if they will need meals/chairs of their own.
Yes and no. There are designated areas for smoking. However, we would ask that you refrain from smoking/vaping at the venue. We want you to be engaged in the big day!
Our ceremony will be completely unplugged. If you can't refrain from pulling out your phone to take pictures or message someone, then leave it in the car on in the reception hall. Please, please, please, for the love of all things holy, DON'T be behind your phone during the ceremony. We want to share this day with YOU, not your cell phone camera. THIS GOES FOR PARENTS, TOO!!! haha. As for the reception, go for it! We would love to see your photos and videos. If you post something, use our hash tag #GreatScottWereMarried
Contact us. If you are traveling to the wedding and are bringing your fur baby, we know that leaving him in the hotel might not be an option. However, we are bringing our dog, Akodah, and he DOES NOT do well with other dogs. Basically, we might be able to work with you, but making other arrangements for your pets would be best.
Yes! We are serving beer and wine. (no hard liquor allowed). Everyone over 21 who RSVP's will get two drink tickets and that's the limit. Side note: NO outside alcohol or over-serving will be permitted. Not only does the venue have strict rules and consequences for this, but we could both get in trouble with the OLCC since we are licensed servers. Any violations will result in the person being removed from the venue. Any fines associated with this will be billed to the person responsible. Thank you for drinking safely and responsibly!
While in a perfect world we would love to do this, we, unfortunately, do not have the means to reserve rooms for all our out of town family and friends. If travel costs are a deciding factor in your ability to come to our wedding or not, PLEASE contact us. We have friends who might be able to help. If you want ideas on where to stay, I have all the hotels, inns, and some BnB's listed on the Travel page of this site.
It is Green Villa BARN. There is a garden across the street. Both will have arrows saying Green Villa because it is the same property. If you are coming through Independence, the barn is on the left. If you are coming from Salem/Dallas, is it on the right. As for detailed instructions, it is very easy to find! It is literally right off of Independence Highway, aka Highway 51. If you drive down Main Street Independence towards Salem, you will find it. If you turn off of Highway 22 from Salem where it says "Independence" you will also drive right to it. We will also have signs out to help navigate. Let us know if this still doesn't make sense!
Contact us! It will depend on how many RSVPs we get. If your invitation specifies "and guest", then go for it! Otherwise, we might need to veto. Cut off for plus ones will be the same as the cut off for the RSVP. Thanks!
Semi formal- casual. What ever you feel comfortable in and looks nice. Sun dresses and jeans are fine as long as they are clean! On the flip side, if you want to get really fancy then PLEASE do. Keep in mind that June in Oregon can be in the 60s or the 90s and plan accordingly. Also, the ceremony will be on a lawn, so ladies, I wouldn't wear stilettos if I were you...
Yes! We have a registry through Zola and also through REI Outfitters. You can find the links for both on our registry tab up top. *Tip: If you are going to bring a gift in person that is on the registry, please sign up for it online so others know it is taken care of. Also, cash and gift cards are very welcome. We can be a bit picky on our decor and such so if you aren't sure, we would love to pick it out our selves!
We will start promptly on time. Getting there 20-40 minutes before our start time should give you enough time to mingle lightly and find your seat.
Yes. The ceremony and reception are at the same venue, so you wan't need to move your car in between. Green Villa has a large parking lot that is clearly marked. You can't miss it.
Yes! We will have some family shuttling from hotels to the venue. However, most of the hotels are only a few minutes away, so an uber won't cost very much. Please let us know at least three days before the wedding if you will need a shuttle.
