Where is the wedding and what's the best way to get there?

Answer

The wedding will take place at "Quinta dos Jasmins" and the address is : Rua de Barrimau 55, 4590-750 Ferreira, Portugal. The ceremony will start promptly at 1pm, so aim to be there with time to spare. We suggest that guests use Uber to travel to the venue which takes around 30 minutes from the old town (which costs aprox €30). The ceremony and the rest of the celebrations will be held at the same location, so once you arrive, you can relax and enjoy the entire day without needing to travel anywhere else!

Help!! I don't speak Portuguese

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be bilingual, conducted in both English and Portuguese so that all guests can follow along. We will do our best to ensure that both sets of guests understand as much as possible. However, please note that some speeches may be in one specific language. Rest assured, there will be plenty of moments where everyone will feel included! The event staff will also speak English, so feel free to ask for assistance anytime.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal attire. Also be aware, the average temperature in Portugal in August is between 17 and 24°c. The ceremony will be held outside in the garden however, there is shaded seating. Please note that the wedding party will be wearing burgundy .

Will there be a meal provided?

Answer

Come with an empty stomach and wear your stretchy clothes—this is a Portuguese wedding, so expect delicious food to be served throughout the entire event! From the first course to late-night snacks, you’ll be treated to a feast of traditional dishes and plenty of options to keep you satisfied all day and night. Enjoy!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, there will be an open bar for guests to enjoy for the whole event—so go ahead and leave your wallets at home! We’ll be serving a variety of drinks, from signature cocktails, wines to non-alcoholic delights, ensuring there’s something for everyone to sip and savor. Cheers!

Are children welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We’re delighted to welcome children to our special day. There will be an outdoor playground and an indoor play area, with a kids' entertainer fluent in English present all day. They'll organise games, do face painting, and make sure the little ones stay entertained throughout.

If your invitation includes a "& guest," feel free to bring someone along and let us know their name. If you're unsure, please check your invitation or contact us.

Is there a gift registry?

Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you'd like to contribute in another way, we are saving for our dream honeymoon and any contribution towards it would be greatly appreciated.
