The wedding will be held at 4pm at Braid Mill, a coworking and event space in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia where we live. Germantown is an historic residential neighborhood, founded in 1683. There are no hotels in the neighborhood, so below we offer some hotels that are within a 15 min radius. If you are looking for Airbnb's - check the Manayunk, Roxborough, Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, East Falls or Germantown neighborhoods. We reserved a block with the Hilton on City Line Avenue (there is a direct bus line to the Art Museum and Independence Hall), but there are other hotel options which might give you more access to urban amenities. You can find here: https://hotelblocks.zola.com/EventPage8433263 Please let us know where you are staying so we can help to organize carpools or possible shuttles to the venue on Saturday.

Travel Note

Getting Around Philadelphia

If you're traveling from out of town and aren't familiar with Philadelphia, you have several easy options for getting around. Renting a Car: Renting a car at Philadelphia International Airport is a convenient option if you'd like the flexibility to explore the city, visit nearby neighborhoods, and travel to our wedding venue with ease. Public Transit: Philadelphia has a comprehensive public transportation system. If you're staying at the Courtyard by Marriott or Hilton on City Ave., the SEPTA Route 44 bus provides a direct ride into Center City—including the area around Independence Hall—in about 35 minutes for just $2.90 per ride. You can simply tap your contactless credit card or use Apple Pay or Google Pay to board. If you come from a part of the country where public transportation isn't common, this might be part of the adventure! Philadelphia's transit system is easy to use and a fun way to experience the city like a local. Once you're in Center City, you'll also find the Philadelphia Sightseeing Bus (often called the PHLASH) and other transit options that make it easy to visit many of the city's historic attractions. Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are plentiful throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. They're generally easy to find at the airport, hotels, Center City, and our wedding venue, making them a great option if you'd rather not rent a car. If you're staying in Center City, you can take SEPTA Regional Rail (about $6 per ride) on the Chestnut Hill East Line from Jefferson or Suburban Stations to Washington Lane Station, just a 12-minute walk from our venue. Weekend train schedules can be less frequent, so we recommend checking schedules in advance. When you RSVP, please let us know where you're staying. As the wedding gets closer, we'll help coordinate carpools and rides so everyone can get to the venue easily. For more information about routes, fares, and schedules, visit Septa.
